Docs adds rich document and spreadsheet editing to Lapis for work that needs more structure than plain markdown can comfortably provide.

Use Docs when the content itself needs layout, cells, tables, or a familiar office-style editing surface.

When To Use Docs

Docs is useful when the format matters as much as the words:

• A note needs tables that are easier to maintain in a rich editor.

• A vault file should open directly into a document or spreadsheet editor.

Why It Exists

Markdown is excellent for durable notes. Docs fills the gap for content that needs richer layout or spreadsheet-like structure while still living in the same Lapis workspace.
